Taylor Swift lookalike causes chaos at Kansas City MLS game as fans mistake her for Travis Kelce’s girlfriend
A Taylor Swift lookalike caused mayhem at Sporting Kansas City’s game on Saturday night, as fans mistook her for the pop star.
Of course, the real Swift has become a fixture in Kansas City over the last two years, given that she is dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
However, fans were tricked when an impersonator of the singer was seen sitting in a box suite during the game.
Fans believe they had spotted the ‘Midnights’ singer, as many excitedly waved from their seats and took pictures of the would-be pop star.
One girl even posed for a picture with her, and a friend of the entertainer said afterwards that things got so out of hand that they needed security escorts.
In reality, it was not Swift but a tribute act named Kelley Thrasher, who goes by ‘Kelley’s Version’ and calls herself ‘Kansas City’s official Taylor Swift Doppelganger.’

As seen on the entertainer’s Instagram page, Kelley works children’s birthday parties and other events.
In a joint-Instagram post that appears on Kelley’s page, one of her friends who attended the game with her recalled the ‘chaos’ of the night.
‘We were just there to celebrate our girl @amberleigh.masters birthday… but bring Taylor Swift ‘s lookalike to an SKC game and suddenly you need security escorts and end up in the stadium’s secret speakeasy with the players after the game,’ she wrote.
‘My kids think I’m the coolest mom ever because I’m ‘friends with Taylor Swift’ – and honestly, I’m not correcting them,’ the friend continued.
Kelley also sat in a suite during the Bloomington Bison’s ECHL hockey game over the weekend, and she later recapped a busy 24 hours attending games
‘2 suites in 24 hours,’ she began an Instagram post. ‘VIP Love Story-but make it sports. Hockey? Soccer? It’s me, hi, I’m the fan, it’s me.’
Kelley brought her Swift role-playing to an Arrowhead Stadium suite in January, as she posed for pictures with Kansas City fans and even linked up with a fake Andy Reid.
The real Swift has become a fixture at the stadium since her and tight end Kelce became an item in the summer of 2023.
Of course, she’s seen some massive moments since then, including two trips to the Super Bowl and a championship in 2024.
In February, Swift was in attendance in New Orleans as Kelce and the Chiefs lost 40-22 in the Super Bowl to the Eagles.
Kelce weighed up retirement after the game but later said he’d be returning for a 13th season.

However, with the NFL in its offseason and Swift’s relentless run of Eras Tour dates over, the couple are learning to enjoy their downtime and making sure they use the time to reset, a source told Page Six.
‘Travis will be heading to training camp later this summer and Taylor will eventually need to head back to work, so this is a sliver of time they have all to themselves,’ the insider was quoted as saying.
‘A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing. Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple.
‘They like to cuddle on the couch and watch movies, play board games, spend time with family, cook dinner together and just hang out.
‘This is such a nice escape for them to finally be able to stay out of the limelight for a bit before they eventually have to get out in the public eye again.’
Last summer, Kelce traveled around the world to see Swift on tour in Australia and Europe, and also filmed his TV series for Amazon and an acting role for the show Grotesquerie.
