Spanish Royals Condemn Illegal Photos of Princess Leonor

The Spanish Royal Family has decided to take firm action in a situation that has generated indignation in Zarzuela.
The privacy of Princess Leonor, heir to the throne, has been violated after images of her were captured without her consent in a shopping mall in Punta Arenas, Chile, and subsequently disseminated by the media.
In view of this fact, the monarchical institution has coordinated with the Spanish Embassy to file a formal complaint before the Chilean authorities.
Princess Leonor’s Privacy Breach Sparks Legal Action
The origin of the conflict lies in the leak of photographs taken through the security camera system of the establishment.
As confirmed by the EFE agency, it was employees of the shopping center who provided these images to the local press, which is a violation of the data protection regulations in force both in Chile and in Spain.
The Royal Household considers this action as “inadmissible” and stresses that “not everything goes” when it comes to the privacy of the members of the institution.
The unauthorized disclosure of images not only violates the privacy of the princess, but also sets a dangerous precedent that Zarzuela is not willing to tolerate.
This decision marks a turning point, since, until now, the Spanish monarchy had not resorted to legal action in similar cases.
However, the unauthorized dissemination of these images has been the straw that has broken the camel’s back.
Added to this are recent rumors and speculation that we have reported here at RoyalFamily.News surrounding Leonor’s figure: the alleged kiss with a midshipman in Brazil and some alleged photos of Leonor in a bikini in Uruguay, which has increased concern within the Royal House.
Princess Leonor arrived in Punta Arenas on March 18 as part of her training at the General Army Academy.
Aboard the training ship Juan Sebastian de Elcano, her stay in Chile was part of her military training, after previous stopovers in Montevideo and Salvador de Bahia.
During their free time, the princess and some companions took the opportunity to tour the city, without imagining that their privacy would be violated in this way.
The Royal Household has made it clear that it will take all necessary measures to ensure the protection of its members.
This complaint seeks to send a strong message: the privacy of the heir to the throne is not a matter that can be exploited without consequences.
