NeuroFlow, a behavioral health technology and analytics company, announced it acquired virtual mental and behavioral health platform Quartet Health in a deal that is expected to close at the end of January.
NeuroFlow’s technology and analytics platform combines behavioral health into physical health workflows while focusing on the “enablement of care delivery and visibility into quality and risk management.”
Quartet brings to the table a substantial behavioral health provider network and referral management capabilities that will expand NeuroFlow’s offerings to its existing customers, which include national payers like Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross, health systems and the federal government.
The latest transaction comes in the wake of NeuroFlow’s acquisition earlier this month of Intermountain Health’s proprietary behavioral health analytics model and the company’s purchase of Owl in 2024.
“This is an exciting moment for NeuroFlow, the current customers of Quartet Health and the future of behavioral health,” Chris Molaro, CEO of NeuroFlow, said in a statement.
“By bringing Quartet and its customers onto our platform, we will accelerate our goal of making behavioral health care more accessible, personalized, and effective.”
Quartet CEO Christina Mainelli said that as Quarter was considering how to increase its reach and impact, it sought to find a partner that is aligned in terms of its mission and commitment to drive better quality and affordability for patients living with mental illness in America.
“We really feel like we have found that with NeuroFlow,” Mainelli said in a statement.
THE LARGER TREND
In January, NeuroFlow acquired Intermountain Health’s proprietary health analytics model with the aim to accelerate the enhancement of NeuroFlow’s analytics and AI proficiencies and allow for the broad deployment of its risk assessment models.
In 2024, Paramus, New Jersey-based Bergen New Bridge Medical Center partnered with NeuroFlow, to help gauge and oversee patient population risk. The aim was to have the medical center integrate NeuroFlow’s workflow tools into its ambulatory care settings to enhance the identification of behavioral health needs and more efficiently distribute care resources.
Arbital Health entered into a continued long-term strategic collaboration with Quartet Health last year. The partnership aimed to design and monitor outcomes-based contracts. Arbital supported Quartet’s Whole Health program that lowers costs and improves patient outcomes for those who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness.
Clover Health also announced a partnership with Quartet Health, which brought value-based behavioral healthcare to Clover members with severe mental illness via Clover Home Care. Through the partnership, Quartet clinicians can use the Clover Assistant platform, an AI tool that aggregates data to help providers make decisions regarding chronic conditions.
