Manchester United eyes huge transfer « Euro Weekly News

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attack this summer, with the current forwards failing to deliver this season.
Fabrizio Romano, the well-known Italian journalist specialised in the transfer market, reports that Victor Osimhen, 26 years old, is the main target for the Premier League club. The Nigerian, now loaned by Napoli to Galatasaray, is open to listening to the offer from the ‘Red Devils’.
Manchester United interested in Victor Osimhen
The current Manchester United strikers, Danish Rasmus Hojlund and Dutch Joshua Zirkzee, have struggled in front of goal, scoring just five Premier League goals between them.
The club is sitting 15th in the table, with attacking problems that manager Ruben Amorim needs to address before next season. Man. United scored just 30 goals in 26 league matches, fewer than teams like Wolves, Crystal Palace or Fulham.
Osimhen, who has impressed during his loan spell at Galatasaray, has been in excellent form this season. He has scored 20 goals in 26 matches, also providing five assists. Thanks to his goals, the Turkish club is still unbeaten in the Super Lig, after 24 weeks. Galatasaray is leading the table in Turkey, six points above rival Fenerbahce, coached by Jose Mourinho.
Despite these numbers and successes, the Nigerian striker could be on the move this summer, with Manchester United showing big interest, among other clubs in Europe.
Victor Osimhen is in great form
Fabrizio Romano said that any move would depend on United’s budget for the summer and the player’s salary demands.
“He’s open to hearing from Man United, as well as more clubs for sure. But it’s not something being decided now in February with Man United. It will depend on the budget,” said the Italian journalist on his social media.
Reportedly, the Nigerian has now a £256.000 (€309.000) per week contract. This kind of salary is difficult for a European team to offer, so Osimhen could be tempted to leave the continent and play in Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen, born in Lagos, came to Europe for the first time to play for Charleroi in Belgium. He previously made his mark at Lille before his big move to Napoli, where his 26 goals helped secure the southern team’s first Serie A title in over 30 years. If he joins Manchester United, he could become a long-term solution as a reliable striker.
