John Terry will be taking on the London Marathon in April alongside one of his former team-mates to raise money for charity.
The former Chelsea skipper posted a video on his Instagram showing his training prior to the event, which is set to take place April 27.
The five-time Premier League winner will begin the race with fellow Blues player Jody Morris, raising funds for Rays of Sunshine, a children’s charity that supports and grants amazing opportunities for seriously ill kids between three and 18.
Following his successful Premier League career, Terry has had various stints in coaching with Aston Villa, Leicester City and Chelsea.
Yet, Terry will not be alone as fellow footballers from across Europe are joining in to combat the 26.2-mile course.
Fellow England international Jack Wilshere will also be representing a superb cause whilst running around the capital. Wilshere will be running to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The charity is significant for the Wilshere family after his daughter underwent life-saving open-heart surgery last year due to a congenital heart defect.
Ex-Gunner Wilshere is grateful for the work the British Heart Foundation does, especially in their support during a tough period for the Norwich City first-team coach.
‘Each day around 13 babies in the UK are diagnosed with a congenital heart defect,’ he said. ‘I want to help raise funds and awareness for all the amazing research the BHF Funds.
‘And I hope to help other families who have been affected in the same way we were. I’m proud to be an ambassador for such an amazing charity.’
Other footballing figures competing include former Fulham and Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell, ex-West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph and Oxford United boss Gary Rowett.
The most intriguing appearance of all will be the inclusion of Euros 2020 winner Leonardo Bonucci.
The former Juventus centre-back was a key component of Italy’s team that beat England on penalties in the final at Wembley.
The Italian will be representing Young Lives vs Cancer in the 45th edition of the London Marathon.
