How to watch Bill Burr’s new special ‘Drop Dead Years’

It’s been a pretty big week for Bill Burr.

He’s ending it with the release of his new stand-up special, “Drop Dead Years,” which streamer Hulu describes as his most personal and introspective one yet. “Drop Dead Years” is Burr’s first hour-long special in three years, and in it, he tackles everything from “male sadness to dating advice” with his signature filterless wit.

One might think, what’s bigger than one of the biggest comics in the world dropping a new stand up special?, and you’d be right to think that, but Burr actually did start this week with another major milestone.

On Monday, March 10, he made his Broadway debut in a buzzy revival of David Mamet’s “Glengarry Glen Ross.” Burr plays dreamer and schemer Dave Moss (the same role Ed Harris played in the film adaptation) in the tragedy about real estate salesmen in a high-stakes competition to wheel and deal undesirable land to unknowing clients. The winner gets a car; the loser gets fired.

Of course, you can watch Burr on your TV screen, but you can also see him IRL in something other than a stand up tour right now — and it’s a revival you won’t want to miss.

How to watch ‘Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years’ for free:

“Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years” is streaming on Hulu. If you’re not already a Hulu subscriber, you’re in luck, because the streamer has one of the best free trials around. New users will get a 30-day free trial to test out everything the Hulu (with ads) plan has to offer before the $9.99/month payment starts. That gives you plenty of time to watch “Drop Dead Years” and so much more.

‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ on Broadway: What do tickets to ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ cost?

Burr isn’t the only A-lister gracing the Palace Theater stage during the run of “Glengarry Glen Ross.”

In addition to Burr, newly minted Oscar winner Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk top-line the production, which also stars Odenkirk’s “Better Call Saul” co-star Michael McKean. John Pirruccello, Donald Webber Jr., and Howard W. Overshown round out the cast.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show was $133 before fees on Vivid Seats. Starting prices range from there to $239 before fees.

The revival of “Glengarry Glen Ross” is a limited run slated to run from now through June 14, 2025 with an official opening night on March 31. The production has a somewhat unusual weekly schedule, with no performances on Sundays. Instead, they perform on a Monday through Saturday schedule with seven shows per week; all performances start at 8:00 p.m., with 2:00 p.m. matinees on Saturday.
