Everton and Liverpool are both charged by the FA following Merseyside derby chaos after referee Michael Oliver sent off four people  – including Reds boss Arne Slot

Everton and Liverpool have both been charged by the FA following the chaotic scenes that ensued after the final whistle of the final ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

A mass brawl broke out after Wednesday’s 2-2 draw as Liverpool’s Curtis Jones confronted Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure after the Toffees midfielder celebrated his side’s late equaliser in front of the travelling fans.

Both sets of players got involved in the brawl, with referee Michael Oliver subsequently showing red cards to Jones and Doucoure for their behaviour.
