Erling Haaland LEFT OUT of Manchester City’s squad for their clash with Liverpool

Erling Haaland has been left out of the matchday squad for Manchester City’s clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola has left his side’s top scorer out after he suffered a knee issue during their 4-0 win over Newcastle last weekend.
Speaking earlier this week Guardiola confirmed that Haaland was in contention to feature at the Etihad pending further tests.
He said: ‘I don’t know yet. Tomorrow will know it. Maybe, but I don’t know. We train today, tomorrow he will test.’
Haaland was on the bench as City were unceremoniously dumped out of Europe by Real Madrid in midweek, but despite training with his team-mates will play no part when Liverpool visit the Etihad.
Omar Marmoush will lead the line in Haaland’s place against Arne Slot’s side, with Kevin De Bruyne handed his first Premier League start since a 6-0 win over Ipswich last month.
After joining City from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt last month, Marmoush opened his Premier League account with a stunning first-half hat-trick against the Magpies last Saturday.
City are also without John Stones for the visit of the Premier League leaders after the England international was forced off after just eight minutes against Real on Wednesday.
