Donald Trump reveals which Premier League team he follows – and it’s NOT Arsenal

Donald Trump revealed which Premier League team he supports in an interview with Piers Morgan.
While he has been recognised as a keen golfer over the years, the US President’s fondness for football is not as clear.
However, he shed light on who he supports in an interview with Piers Morgan back in 2018 that aired on ITV.
It saw Piers, an avid Arsenal fan, gift him a Gunners jersey with ‘Trump 45’ as the name and number on the shirt.
Receiving the gift, ‘That’s beautiful, I have a son who does love this sport,’ said Trump.
‘And he loves Arsenal, right? Are you an Arsenal fan, too?,’ Morgan asked.

‘Not particularly, no. I have a friend who owns Manchester United,’ Trump responded.
A disappointed Morgan then joked that Trump had ‘killed [his] dream’ – after he had posted to X, formerly Twitter, earlier that year.
Morgan wrote: ‘I invite Trump to be Arsenal’s new manager – because he’d build a strong defensive wall, have an attacking philosophy and want to win big trophies at all costs’.
That comment came during former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s final season at the club – before he was succeeded by Unai Emery.
Morgan may get his wish for ‘big trophies’ thanks to the direction the club have since headed in under Mikel Arteta, who has been at the helm at Emirates Stadium since December 2019.
But Trump hinted at supporting Manchester United due to his friendship with the club’s former owner Edward Glazer, son of Malcolm Glazer.
In 2023, Edward and his five siblings sold 25 per cent of their 68 per cent stake in the club to Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
