Barcelona are set to unveil a unique partnership with Taylor Swift ahead of the next El Clasico.
Hansi Flick’s side currently sit top of LaLiga following an impressive first season for the German coach, although they are only ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid on goal difference.
A potentially crunch game in the title race could come on the weekend of May 10th when the two European giants take on each other at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium.
That ground is Barcelona’s temporary home during the ongoing renovations at the Nou Camp, something that has been renamed the Spotify Camp Nou since the streaming platform signed a blockbuster sponsorship deal with the club back in March 2022.
Part of that agreement has also seen the Spotify logo feature on Barcelona’s shirts since the start of the 2022-23 season.
However, for El Clasico fixtures, Spotify have foregone their logo, with it instead replaced by the logo of an artist.

The iconic popstar’s logo is set to appear on Barcelona’s shirts for the upcoming clash in May

As part of their sponsorship deal with Spotify, for El Clasico fixtures the logo is replaced by that of a popular artist (above – Coldplay’s logo appears for the El Clasico match back in October)
This has seen stars such as Drake, Rosalia, Rolling Stones and Karol G previously feature for El Clasico games.
Meanwhile, Coldplay took the honour for the first game between the sides this season back in October.
On that occasion, the British band brought luck to Flick’s side as they secured a stunning 4-0 win at the Bernabeu.
And, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, iconic and hugely popular artist Swift is expected feature on the Catalan giants’ shirts for the El Clasico clash in May.
The report claims that Spotify recently started the process of selecting which artist would feature for the highly-anticipated encounter.
Several artists were in the running, including the likes of Ed Sheeran and Travis Scott.
However, Swift was preferred and a final agreement is said to be close, with only a few details left to be ironed out.

The Rolling Stones’ logo featured on Barcelona’s shirts during a loss to Real in October 2023

Drake and his owl logo is among the other artists to have been part of this unique partnership
Meanwhile, back in October 2023, Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones were spotted at El Clasico as the band’s iconic tongue and lips logo was emblazoned on Barcelona’s shirts.
‘We’re huge football fans and honoured that Spotify have brought our Tongue & Lips logo to grace the FC Barcelona shirt to celebrate the release of the Stones’ new ‘Hackney Diamonds’ album,’ the Rolling Stones had said at the time.
‘We’ll be cheering on the players on the pitch as well as fans around the world who will be tuning in to watch this iconic match.’
The band’s logo also featured on the club’s women’s team’s kit for a clash against Sevilla.
Limited edition shirts featuring the Rolling Stones logo were subsequently sold, which had the signatures of each player who played in the two matches.
However, their presence didn’t bring much luck, with Barcelona losing the clash, something that also happened to the club when Drake’s owl logo was displayed on the kit in a 3-1 away defeat against Real in 2022.
