Antarctica, a land of untouched beauty and icy extremes, is offering a unique and luxurious wellness haven.
From UFO bases to visitor land barriers and unusual creatures, Antarctica has long been shrouded in mystery and conspiracy theories. Now, White Desert’s Whichaway Camp has launched its Wellness Dome, offering a transformative experience that blends luxury, serenity, and nature in one of the most remote areas of the earth.
Wellness Dome in Antarctica
Set against the backdrop of Antarctica’s glaciers, frozen lakes, and vast wilderness, the Wellness Dome is redefining self-care. Its clear walls provide uninterrupted views of glacial icefalls, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the pristine environment. Whether practising yoga, mastering breathwork, or meditating, the dome promises a tranquil space for reflection and rejuvenation.
Complementing the Wellness Dome, Whichaway Camp offers holistic wellness services, including a wood-fired sauna and expert-led activities. A biokineticist is available to help guests recover from trekking or climbing, while a dedicated instructor leads mindfulness and meditation sessions.
The camp offers boutique-style accommodations, gourmet meals, and activities like ice climbing and glacier exploration. Guests describe the experience as “otherworldly.”
A six-day stay at Whichaway Camp will set you back approximately $68,500 (€64,700) per person. This fee includes round-trip flights from Cape Town to Antarctica, luxurious accommodation, Michelin-star meals, and a range of curated activities. Additionally, White Desert donates $1,000 per guest to conservation initiatives, ensuring the experience is both indulgent and sustainable.
Antarctica’s untouched landscape offers an alternative to conventional wellness retreats. As White Desert describes, it’s “a chance to unplug, unwind, and reconnect” in a setting free from distractions. For those lucky enough to visit, the experience is as transformative as it is luxurious.
