Chelsea star Cole Palmer has gone viral for revealing what sandwich he would choose when buying a supermarket meal deal.
The midfielder posted a video with crisp brand Pringles called ‘Hot vs Cole’ to his 6.3million Instagram followers on Thursday.
Palmer has not been so hot on the pitch of late, failing to score in his last six Premier League matches for Chelsea.
Nevertheless, he seemed in high spirits as he was asked a series of food-related questions in the video in question.
One of his answers in particular has sparked a social media frenzy as he was asked what his go-to meal deal was.
Palmer replied: ‘I don’t think I have ever had a meal deal.’ Slightly taken aback, the interviewer then asked what his sandwich of choice would be.

Palmer has gone viral for food-related reasons in the past as was spotted at a McDonald’s drive-through during the November international break
Shouts of chicken and bacon could be heard behind the camera, however, Palmer surprisingly said: ‘Jam’
The clip has elicited hundreds of responses on social media from supporters who found his answer hilarious.
One X user wrote: ‘Hahaha a Jam sandwich meal deal sums him up’, while another said that he is ‘the gift that keeps on giving’.
The clip has also raised questions from the public as to why supermarket shops do not sell jam sandwiches in the UK.
‘Cole Palmer makes me cry, but what I will say is as a nation why are we not selling jam sandwiches in meal deals?’ wrote a different X user.
This is not the first time Chelsea’s star man has gone viral over food-related content, either.
Toward the end of last season in an interview with BBC Sport, he revealed that his favourite post-match meal was a Chinese takeaway.
When probed on the specifics of what he would eat, he responded ‘You know chippy chips?’ before continuing: ‘They have to be them.’

During the November international break, when Palmer withdrew from the Three Lions squad with injury, he made a surprise appearance at a McDonald’s drive-through.
And, in an interview with the Men In Blazers podcast, Palmer opened up on that trip – which came after he was also seen at Stockport’s League One clash against Wrexham – and revealed what his standard order at the popular fast food chain is.
‘Double cheeseburger, 20 nuggets and a strawberry milkshake,’ the 22-year-old explained.
