Tia partners with Nourish for nutritional counseling services

Tia, a hybrid women’s healthcare company, has joined forces with Nourish, a food-as-medicine platform, to connect patients to nutrition counseling services via Nourish’s network of registered dietitians. At the same time, Tia says it will enhance its model of providing holistic, integrated care that supports women through various stages of life.
Tia members will have access to customized nutrition guidance that addresses a range of health goals and conditions, including hormonal balance, fertility, chronic disease management, weight management and general wellness.
The partnership will also allow Tia members to access nutrition care that is integrated into their overall healthcare journey.
“Women’s health is more than just reproductive care. It’s about whole-body wellness, and nutrition plays a fundamental role in everything from hormone balance to chronic disease treatment and prevention,” Jessica Horwitz, chief clinical officer for Tia, told MobiHealthNews in an email.
“Our partnership with Nourish takes Tia’s integrated care model a step further, ensuring that our patients have access to personalized, evidence-based nutrition care as part of their healthcare journey,” she said. “By embedding nutrition into our innovative primary care model, we are giving women access to an additional resource to holistically manage their health, one that aligns with their unique bodies, life stages, and goals.”
THE LARGER TREND
In 2023, Tia expanded its mental health services to include new offerings dubbed Groups and Coaching. Groups is an eight-week program where women with shared experiences, identities and health challenges connect, and Coaching is a 50-minute non-clinical appointment to address stress.
Tia also partnered with Los Angeles health system Cedars-Sinai to open the hybrid care provider’s second Los Angeles clinic in Santa Monica in collaboration with the health system.
The company set up additional clinics in Pasadena, Culver City and Studio City, California, that same year.
The partners share clinical leadership with Tia medical directors and providers working with their equivalents at Cedars-Sinai. Clinical protocols, core coordination between primary and specialty care, and the measurement of quality metrics will also be part of the partnership.
Other players in the women’s healthcare space include Allara Health, which scored $26 million in Series B funding in January, bringing its total raise to $38.5 million.
Women’s health company Teal Health secured $10 million in seed funding to support the launch of the Teal Wand, an at-home, self-collect cervical cancer screening device. The capital brought Teal’s funding to $23 million and came in the wake of a $1.68 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Cancer Institute and FDA Breakthrough Device Designation.
