Tim Sherwood ripped into Chelsea stars Pedro Neto and Levi Colwill after their celebrations during their 4-0 victory over Southampton.
The Blues made light work of rock-bottom Saints on Tuesday night with Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella the scorers.
Yet in celebrating their respective goals, both Neto and Colwill performed a ‘talking’ gesture with their hands – as they helped the side end a three-match losing streak.
Neto, particularly, has struggled since making the move to west London but shone on a rare opportunity to start up front – amid Chelsea’s ongoing injury crisis.
However, despite his goal, the winger came under criticism from pundit Sherwood, who insisted the Blues stars should just ‘get on with it’.
Sherwood said: ‘I like Neto but I don’t know what the celebration was all about,’ the former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager told Premier League Productions at full-time.

After the game, Tim Sherwood told the Chelsea players to ‘get on with it’ after scoring
‘A few of the Chelsea players did that. It feels like they’re listening to the noise but they’ve just got to blank out the noise and win.
‘People are obviously going to have things to say, you’re playing for Chelsea Football Club.
‘It’s a team that normally wins and you’ve spent a few billion pound so people expect you to be at the top of the League. Just get on with it.’
Asked about Neto’s overall performance, Sherwood added: ‘He’s very direct. I think he’s had a decent season, I really do.
‘Recently he’s been stepping up. I think he’s a real threat, he could play for most teams, I really think he’s a talent.
‘When he’s going through [for his goal], he changes his angle nicely and when he’s played through you know he’s going to put his foot through it.
‘[It’s a] powerful shot past (Aaron) Ramsdale and that was 2-0 and from there on, the game was finished.’
Meanwhile, Chelsea star Cole Palmer has since opened up on his difficult run of form after failing to find the back of the net during Tuesday’s clash.

Meanwhile, Cole Palmer has opened up on his difficult run of form in the league for Chelsea
Palmer, 22, has enjoyed a stunning 18 months since signing for the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2023 for £42.5million.
However, Palmer has failed to score or assist across his past seven games in all competitions, with the 21-year-old undergoing what seems to be his first dip for the club.
Taking to Instagram after the game, Palmer shared a photo of himself looking slightly dejected on the pitch.
He added the caption: ‘Well done lads +3. Don’t worry I will be back.’
