The Rhône River Disney cruise
The Rhône River cruise highlights the diverse landscapes of France, from mountainous scenery and lush vineyards to historic towns and medieval architecture. Guests will be immersed in the rich history, art, and culinary heritage of the region through a variety of curated excursions. A Breaking Travel News report revealed lots of exciting details…
For active guests, there is bike riding through charming villages and kayaking beneath the Roman Pont du Gard aqueduct. If you prefer to sit back and admire the scenery a ride on a steam-powered train through the stunning Doux Gorges is an exclusive adventure available only to Adventures by Disney travellers.
Foodies will indulge in tastings of local cheeses, chocolates, olive oil, and honey, as well as wines from the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, a region deeply connected to the Catholic popes of Avignon. In Lyon, one of France’s food capitals, guests will experience guided culinary tours, with a nod to the Disney-Pixar classic Ratatouille.
For arty guests, a walk through Roussillon’s Ochre Trail followed by a painting class is sure to please. In Lyon, a private silk weaving demonstration will bring this ancient craft to life, while in Arles, guests can retrace the steps of Vincent van Gogh, visiting the asylum where he painted The Starry Night.
Disney’s expert guides will bring history to life with visits to ancient Roman ruins in Lyon and Nîmes, medieval hilltop villages like Les Baux-de-Provence, and the historic towns of Tournon and Viviers.
Disney will offer five Rhône River cruises in 2026, including four family-friendly departures and one exclusive adults-only sailing. Bookings open to the public on February 12, 2025.
